Don’t be deceived!  – No te engañes!

No matter what you have been told, God’s law it’s about loving your neighbor as you love yourself.  And there is the issue, many of us were not taught about the importance of being ourselves and loving ‘me’ as I proclaim to love others.  The book of Galatians reminds us about the importance of restoring those that have fall into sin, those that are oppressed and to share their burdens if we really want to comply with Christ’ law.  And Christ’s law is completed through extravagant love.

MSG: “Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.  Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”

No importa lo que te han dicho, la ley de Dios es acerca de amar a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. Y ahí está el problema, a muchos de nosotros no se nos enseñó sobre la importancia de ser uno mismo y amar “yo” como yo os anuncio amar a los demás. El libro de Gálatas nos recuerda sobre la importancia de la restaurar aquellos y aquellas que han caido en el pecado, los y las que son oprimidos y oprimidas y compartir sus cargas si realmente queremos cumplir con la ley de Cristo. Y la ley de Cristo es completa a traves de amor extravagante.

DDH: “Hermanos, ustedes son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios. Por lo tanto, si descubren que alguien ha pecado, deben corregirlo con buenas palabras. Pero tengan cuidado de no ser tentados a hacer lo malo. Cuando tengan dificultades, ayúdense unos a otros. Ésa es la manera de obedecer la ley de Cristo.  Si alguien se cree importante, cuando en realidad no lo es, se está engañando a sí mismo. Cada uno debe examinar su propia conducta. Si es buena, podrá sentirse satisfecho de sus acciones, pero no debe compararse con los demás. Cada uno es responsable ante Dios de su propia conducta.”
