This was maybe at the end of the last supper, all still together. I imagine, great dinner, deep conversation, plans for the future, a lot of laughter and then reality… walk to Gethsemane. In my family when adversity comes, we sing popular and inspirational songs, those that give us strength. Maybe the one that says “pero en el dolor, es mejor cantar.” Some suggest that as part of tradition, the disciples sang Psalm 118 “Gives thanks to God, his loves endures for ever”, no matter what lays ahead, trust your God.
In the midst of chaos, I trust God. In the midst of illness, I trust God. In the midst of injustice I trust, I praise and I walk knowing that God walks with me to the end. Amen.

Esto ocurrió tal vez al final de la última cena, todos juntos. Imagino, gran cena, conversación profunda, planes para el futuro, muchas risas y luego realidad … caminar hacia Getsemaní. En mi familia cuando llega la adversidad, cantamos canciones populares e inspiradoras, aquellas que nos dan fuerza. Tal vez el cántico que dice “pero en el dolor, es mejor cantar”. Algunos sugieren que como parte de la tradición, los discípulos cantaron el Salmo 118 “Da gracias a Dios, su amor perduran para siempre”, no importa lo que el future traiga, confía en tu Dios.
