Have you ever received negative statements about yourself? Are those negative comments deeply rooted in your mind and your memory since forever? Is there any time in your life when you have felt far away from God? Is there any time in your life when you have feared God will no longer look at you because of your sins, or because of the way you are? Or because of the many things you were told as a child that God would not accept you if…? All those memories!
We have believed that we are not important, that we are not good. At times we question if God has renounced, given up, forgotten us. But today, I am here to remind us that God has indicated not only that we are His Glory, but also that he has engraved us in his Palm. Every one of us! Can you imagine?
Do you remember having a string tied on your finger so that you won’t forget?, several seconds and you forgot! Do you remember the blood mark on the doors of the Israelites? Maybe once the rain came, all those signs were washed away! Last year I had the opportunity to participate in a Henna Party, a group of Muslim women celebrating what we might call a “Bachelorette party”. We participated in the painting of our hands, but once we washed our hands, all the paint washed away.
A child in our church recently said that “No matter your color, your feelings, your ancestry… TRUST GOD. Yes, we need to trust the one that love us so deeply that he has wrapped us tightly and hidden securely in His Hand. Now let us remember that he forgets not who we are in Him.

Prayer: God you created and hold the world in your hands. Let us hear and feel your hands holding us tightly, protected, secure, and let us remember that your covenant with us is that nobody, absolutely nobody will SEPARATE, SNATCH, STEAL, or REMOVE ANY OF US FROM Your Precious and Powerful Hand. Amen!

“¿Puedes ver mi tatuaje?” Maritza Angulo de González
“Te he grabado en la palma de mi mano. Tus muros están siempre delante de mí.” De Isaías 49:16 y “Nadie los arrebatará de mi mano ” de Juan 10:28.
¿Alguna vez has recibido comentarios negativos acerca de ti? ¿Están esos comentarios negativos profundamente arraigados en tu mente y tu memoria, desde siempre? ¿Ha existido algún momento en tu vida cuando te has sentido lejos de Dios? ¿Ha existido algún momento en tu vida cuando tienes miedo a que Dios ya no te mira a causa de tus pecados, o por la forma que eres? ¿O por las muchas cosas que te dijeron cuando niño(a)… que Dios no aceptaría si … ? Todos esos recuerdos!
Hemos creído que no somos importantes, que no somos buenos(as). A veces nos preguntamos si Dios ha renunciado, nos ha abandonado o se ha olvidado de nosotros. Pero hoy, estoy aquí para recordarnos que Dios ha indicado que no sólo somos su gloria, sino también que nos ha grabado en la Palma de su mano. ¡A cada uno de nosotros y nosotras! ¿Te imaginas ?
¿Te acuerdas de no olvidar? Un lazo hecho de hilo en el dedo para recordar, varios segundos y se te olvidó! ¿Te acuerdas la marca de la sangre en las puertas de los israelitas? Tal vez llegó la lluvia y la borró! El año pasado tuve la oportunidad de participar en una fiesta de Henna, un grupo de mujeres musulmanas celebran lo que podríamos llamar una ” despedida de soltera ” . Nos pintaron nuestras manos, pero una vez que nos lavamos las manos, la pintura se borró!
Recientemente una niña dijo en nuestra iglesia ” No importa tu color, tus sentimientos, o tus antepasados … Confía en Dios.” Sí, tenemos que confiar en el que nos ama tan profundamente que nos ha envuelto firmemente y con seguridad nos ha escondido en Su mano. Ahora recordemos que Él nunca olvida quienes somos en El!.

Oración: Dios tu creaste y sostienes el mundo en tus manos. Permítenos escuchar y sentir tus manos sosteniéndonos firmemente, protegidos(as) y seguros(as); y haznos recordar que tu pacto con nosotros es que nadie, absolutamente nadie nos separará, nos arrebatará , nos robará , nos quitará; a ninguno(a) de nosotros(as) de Tu mano preciosa y poderosa . Amén !
