The trial before the righteous – El juicio delante de l@s just@s

Mark 14:53, 55

“They led Jesus to the Chief Priest, where the high priests, religious leaders, and scholars had gathered together. The high priests conspiring with the Jewish Council looked high and low for evidence against Jesus by which they could sentence him to death.”

In order to judge, one must have at least 3 witnesses. In this case they brought the accused in front of about “71 defenders of Jewish orthodoxy” to bring Jesus down. Can you imagine, says Hamilton “God had taken on flesh to walk on the planet he had created, among the people he had called his own.  He had healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, and loved sinners; but he was arrested by the religious leaders, unrecognized by them, and charged!  And HE IS the SON OF GOD! No matter how many witnesses the religious righteous ones bring against you, YOU ARE recognized by God as His CHILD!

My God!, thanks for letting us know that we are your children, your creation and that you have called us to be members of your Kingdom!

“Mientras tanto, los que habían arrestado a Jesús lo llevaron ante el jefe de los sacerdotes. Allí estaban reunidos los sacerdotes principales, los líderes judíos y los maestros de la Ley. Los sacerdotes principales y todos los miembros de la Junta Suprema buscaban a alguien que acusara a Jesús, para poder condenarlo a muerte; pero no lo encontraban.”

Para juzgar, hay que tener por lo menos 3 testigos. En este caso trajeron al acusado delante de unos “71 defensores de la ortodoxia judía” para destruir a Jesús. ¿Puedes imaginarte, dice Hamilton “Dios se hizo carne para caminar en el planeta que había creado, entre las personas que había llamado su gente. Él había sanado a los enfermos, abrió los ojos de los ciego, y le amó a los pecadores, pero fue detenido por los líderes religiosos, no reconocido por ellos, y acusado! Y él es el Hijo de Dios!  No importa cuántos testigos los religiosos justos traen contra ti, eres reconocido por Dios como su hij@!
